Home Selling Tips

First concentrate on the exterior of the house. Work on the outside of the house first, unless there is a major project involved. A homebuyer’s first impression is based on his or her view of the house from the Real Estate agents car and "Curb Appeal" and your front door is very important.

Disconnect your emotions. Buying real estate is often an emotional decision, but when selling real estate you need to remove emotion from the equation. Think of your house as a marketable commodity. Property. Real estate. Your goal is to get others to see it as their potential home, not yours.

Get rid of clutter. Most people want open floor plans. Having too much furniture or nick nacks causes the house to look smaller. Price your real estate right

Consider the cost of repairs. Do not do anything expensive, such as remodeling. If possible, use savings to pay for repairs and improvements--- do not charge up credit cards or obtain any new loans. Remember that part of selling a house is also preparing to buy your next home.

Price it right. Houses that are priced right sell faster and for more money than houses that are overpriced. The idea that you can always take less, keeps qualified buyers from looking at your home in the first place. Our market is very strong and buyers know to look at properties that are within their qualified range.
